Story Notes
Magoth, also “Magog” (a biblical name, possibly a place rather than a person), is a colorful individual: he inspires positive emotions…joy, love, gladness, can dispel dark magic, summon banquets, comedies, and dances. He sounds like a delight at parties. He’s also a direct servant of four of the bigger names in hell, and one of the very few married demons: in some resources he’s said to be married to Kore/Persephone, and the two are co-rulers of their wedge of hell. This isn’t always the case, in some references Magoth is in charge, but it’s still an unusual relationship for a demon.
