One of the Watcher angels
Bitterness and sweetness (Thai food?) Pen, ink, and writing
One of the “watcher” angels, who in the mythology of the Book of Enoch taught humanity many incredibly useful skills and, like the tree of knowledge in the book of Eden, corrupted them. Penemue’s specific area of expertise is the gifts of writing, pen, and ink. In the Book of Enoch the suggestion is that in sharing writing, Penemue shares wisdom and knowledge generally, and this is a gift that leads to their downfall. (see Wiki).
The entire “Watcher” story has strong elements of the story of Prometheus: knowledge is shared, and everyone involved is corrupted by it, but innocence really only exists as the tragic side of knowledge and growing up.
